WASHINGTON, D.C. | July 22, 2024 On July 30, National Whistleblower Center is hosting a National Whistleblower Day 2024 celebration on Capitol Hill. The event is the largest and most prestigious event on whistleblowing, featuring speeches by notable whistleblowers, leading advocates and high-ranking government officials.
Today, the confirmed list of speakers has been announced. Speakers include:
- Members of Congress: Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Wyden, co-chairs of the Senate Whistleblower Protection Caucus; and Representative Jamie Raskin.
- Representatives from Whistleblower Offices: Special Counsel at the Office of Special Counsel, Hampton Dellinger; Director of the House Office of the Whistleblower Ombuds, Shanna Devine; Director of the IRS Whistleblower Office, John Hinman; Inspector General of the Department of Justice, Michael Horowitz; and Director of the CFTC Whistleblower Office, Brian Young
- Whistleblowers and Advocates: Big Tobacco whistleblower Dr. Jeffrey Wigand; ExxonMobil whistleblower Lindsey Gulden; FBI whistleblower Jane Turner; Army Corps of Engineers whistleblower Dr. Tommie “Toni” Savage; Executive Director of The Foundation for Aviation Safety Ed Pierson; Vice Chair of the Board of the Lamplighter Project Austin Handle; Mexican anti-corruption attorneys María de los Ángeles Estrada and Carlos G.
