WASHINGTON, D.C. | August 31, 2023 — On September 18, National Whistleblower Center’s (NWC) Chairman of the Board Stephen M. Kohn and Executive Director Siri Nelson will discuss Kohn’s latest book, Rules for Whistleblowers: A Handbook for Doing What’s Right at Busboys and Poets in Washington D.C.
Rules for Whistleblower is the seventh book on whistleblowing by Kohn, a leading expert on whistleblower law who has represented whistleblowers since 1984. The book presents 35 rules which highlight the “traps” facing whistleblowers today and address how to file anonymous cases and qualify for multi-million-dollar rewards.
The book has received rave reviews. Publishers Weekly calls Rules for Whistleblowers an “essential tool” and highlights the practical guidance laid out clearly by Kohn. Kirkus refers to it as “definitive and compulsively readable.”
“Rules for Whistleblowers is an easy to read essential tool for anyone curious about whistleblowing,” says Nelson. “The sharp writing and interesting stories helps whistleblowing feel more understandable and less scary.”
The free event is open to the public and will take place at the 14th and V location of Busboys and Poets. Kohn and Nelson will discuss Rules for Whistleblowers, the current state of whistleblower laws, and protocols for blowing the whistle. Copies of the book will be available for purchase during and after the event, and Kohn will be signing copies following the program.
