NWC at World Justice Forum

WASHINGTON, D.C. | April 13, 2022 — Advocating for whistleblowers worldwide, NWC is proud to announce its participation in the upcoming World Justice Forum (WJF).

The WJF is the largest international event run by the World Justice Project. The event brings hundreds of professionals from around the world to discuss, learn about, and act on issues that face the international community. NWC will be advocating on behalf of whistleblowers, championing them as the best anti-corruption tool, uncovering more fraud than all audits, internal control, and security systems combined.

Whistleblower laws are already endorsed by many international and regional organizations, including the United Nations (UN), the European Union (EU), the Organization of American States (OAS), and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OCED). President Biden’s anti-corruption strategy furthers this appreciation of whistleblowers and other activists and is impacting the formation of new whistleblower protections.

Together with Whistleblowing International, NWC will discuss the importance of whistleblowers on an international scale will support the development of additional protections for whistleblowers and advancements in whistleblowing strategies. NWC recognizes citizens reporting misconduct around the world and will guide participants in harnessing whistleblowing efforts to support their current work.

NWC aims to facilitate the inclusion of whistleblowing into the priorities and practices of public officials, attorneys, and other participants of the forum. NWC will lead discussion concerning receiving whistleblower reports, protecting whistleblowers from retaliation, following through on whistleblower claims, and whistleblower incentives.

NWC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit increasing public awareness of whistleblowing issues advocating for increased whistleblower protections. Please consider donating today to continue this important work.
