Hi Friend,

This is the National Whistleblower Center’s final newsletter of 2020 and so I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our donors, activists, staff and volunteer leaders who have helped us in our work to make the world a safer and more just place for our children and grandchildren. I especially want to thank Li Wenliang, Jhonna Porter, Rick Bright and the many other whistleblowers who were on the front lines this past year  in the fight against corruption and other wrongdoing.

2020 was a tumultuous year, with the compounding crises of Covid-19, climate change, police misconduct, and mobilization of white supremacists on social media websites. I am proud to say that NWC put forward solutions on these and other major issues, and that we continue to gain respect for our pragmatism and our emphasis on fairness and respect for the rule of law.  And as the end-of-year report shows, we are making meaningful progress.

I’ve had the honor and privilege of meeting a wide variety of whistleblowers in the past year. I am inspired by their tales of bravery and their commitment to justice when those in the position to rectify injustice sit back and do nothing. We owe it to them to come out of the starting gates fast and strong in January 2021!  In the meantime, I hope that you and yours have a restful end to 2020 and a happy new year.

Sincerely,

John Kostyack
