At 3:00PM on March 19th, National Whistleblower Center’s Chairman of the Board Stephen M. Kohn and will host a special presentation at the Hague Humanities Hub focusing on recent developments in the United States’s anti-corruption enforcement and new tactics needed to respond to the current crisis.
The U.S has been the global leader in the fight against corruption for decades, providing a legal framework that foreign governments and civil society organizations can leverage and rely on. Recent threats to U.S anti-corruption enforcement necessitate a rethinking of global strategy.
The discussion will be led by Kohn, whose successful representation of leading international whistleblowers under the Foreign Corrupt Practices, Dodd-Frank, and the Anti-Money Laundering Acts resulted in over $6 billion USD in recovered sanctions and restitution. Kohn also represented Howard Wilkinson in the historic Danske Bank money laundering case. He will be joined by the NWC/KKC International Liaison Kate Reeves, who is the firm’s official representative at the Humanities Hub.
The event will also introduce Hub members and interested members of the public to the NWC and KKC, including resources they are making available to the international community and an opportunity to establish transnational partnerships and coalitions for anti-corruption advocacy.
To register, please fill out the form below. Representatives of the news media are encouraged to attend. All presentations will be on-the-record.
