 The National Whistleblower Center sponsors a nation-wide public education program aimed at ensuring that employees are aware of the protections afforded to whistleblowers. As part of this effort, the Center’s attorneys have authored the leading legal treatises on whistleblower protection and sponsor educational programs for employees, Congressional committees, public interest groups, attorneys and government-oversight agencies. The Center sponsors regular training programs for public interest lawyers, law students and undergraduate students interested in public service. Additionally, the Center regularly participates in the educational programming of such organizations as the Inspectors General Community, the Department of Labor Administrative Law Judges, American Trial Lawyers Association, OSHA, the American Bar Association, the American Civil Liberties Union, the National Lawyers Guild and the Presidential Council on Integrity and Efficiency. The Center’s staff has been called upon to testify before Congress, and often has provided technical assistance to C ongressional committees on issues and legislation impacting whistleblowers.
